Pricing
How our pricing works
We do not publish a fixed price list, because a fixed list would be misleading. What we do publish is exactly how a price is built, so nothing on your invoice is a surprise.
Why no published price list?
A "lockout from $49" headline is a marketing device. The figure typically covers the callout only, and the real cost lands once labour and parts are added on the doorstep when you have no practical way to decline. We would rather quote you accurately over the phone than advertise a number nobody actually pays.
The honest answer is that price depends on the lock, the door, the time of day and the distance. All four are known before we leave, which is why we can give you a firm figure on the phone.
What makes up your invoice
Callout fee
Covers travel, the vehicle and the tooling that arrives with it. It applies once per visit and is quoted before dispatch. Rates differ for business hours, after hours, weekends and public holidays.
Labour
Charged for the time on site. Simple lockouts and rekeys are short jobs; master key systems, safes and multi-door installations are quoted as a whole rather than by the hour.
Parts and hardware
Quoted separately and itemised on your invoice. We will always tell you the brand and model being fitted, and we will fit hardware you have supplied yourself if you prefer.
Nothing else
No fuel levy, no 'emergency surcharge' added after arrival, no card fee dressed up as a service charge. If a payment surcharge ever applies it will be disclosed before you pay.
If the job changes
Sometimes a door is not what it was described as, or a lock turns out to be seized rather than simply locked. When that happens we stop, explain what we have found, and give you a revised price. You are free to decline the extra work; in that case only the agreed callout applies.
Payment and invoices
Payment is due on completion unless account terms have been arranged in advance. We issue a tax invoice for every job showing the work performed, parts supplied and warranty details. Keep it — you will need it for any warranty claim and, for businesses, for your own records.
Your rights on price
Under Australian Consumer Law, businesses must not mislead you about price or add undisclosed compulsory fees. If you believe you have been charged something you did not agree to, contact us on +61 3 7067 9694 or read our consumer rights page and complaints process.
