How an assessment works
We walk the property with you and look at it the way an opportunist would: which door is least visible from the street, which window is easiest to reach, where the lighting fails, and what a side gate gives access to.
You get a plain-language summary of what we found, ranked by how much difference each fix would actually make. No pressure, no scare tactics, and no obligation to have us do the work.
Upgrades that reliably help
The highest-value improvements are usually unglamorous: solid strike plates with long screws, deadbolts on secondary doors, secure hardware on sliding doors, and locks on the windows people forget about.
- Reinforcing frames and strike plates on entry doors
- Upgrading worn cylinders to higher-security ones
- Securing garage internal doors, which are often the weakest point
- Adding locks to accessible windows
- Fitting locks to side and rear gates
- Sensor lighting at dark approaches
Owners corporations and shared buildings
Shared entries create shared risk. We work with committees and building managers on common-door hardware, restricted key systems for residents, and staged upgrade plans that fit a maintenance budget across a financial year.
Common questions
- Do you charge for a security assessment?
- We charge a standard callout for a full walk-through and written summary, which we credit toward the work if you proceed with us.
- Will you try to sell me things I do not need?
- No. We rank recommendations by impact and tell you plainly which items are optional. Plenty of our assessments end with two small fixes rather than a package.
